Through our online platform, we utilise technology and AI to provide fast, flexible and affordable business financing solutions to entrepreneurs, so they can focus on running their business.

We have been active for 5 years, and are fast becoming the market leader in the Netherlands when it comes to non-bank SME financing. In 2018, Swishfund launched in the UK and a top five listing is within reach. More country launches will follow in the future.


Being the biggest is one thing, but having satisfied customers and happy colleagues is key to any successful business. Within our team of around 50 employees, we are now looking for our next (happy) reinforcement to join our team and help drive the business forward to its next stage of growth.


What are we looking for?

We are looking for a python programmer to take our proprietary credit decisioning system (Calmstone) to the next stage of development.


As a python programmer dedicated to our proprietary credit decisioning system, your customers are the whole organisation. Why? Because our entire organisation utilises Calmstone on a daily basis! A lot of responsibility, right? Well, you will have the support of our entire team to take Clamstone to the next level!


What are your responsibilities?

Your key responsibility will be to maintain and improve Calmstone, and are broken down into the following areas:

  • Connecting to external APIs that can enhance the data science team with credit modelling;
  • Adding additional features to improve and evolve the system;
  • Working closely with our Credit team to support our credit analysts enhance risk mitigation and reduce credit risk exposure by improving and enhancing the key credit data available through Clamstone;
  • Supporting our Credit team by continually improving the presentation of key credit data sets and reporting in a user friendly manner in order to support and enhance the credit committees decision making; and
  • Maintaining and improving the backend of Calmstone, which is a MYSQL database.

Job requirements

About you

You are driven, a real ‘go-getter’, and you feel the drive to be successful in your career. In addition, you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or related field (a Master’s degree is a plus);
  • Strong understanding of Python (Django) programming;
  • Familiar with ORM;
  • Ability to write readable and maintainable scripts in Python and SQL;
  • Experience using Cloud services (AWS S3, RDS);
  • Experience with version control & CI/CD pipelines;
  • You can connect and setup REST APIS with different authentication methods; and
  • Available 32-40 hours per week.

  • Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL;
  • AWS, Docker, Gitlab.
